BorderBlank

What you need to run this program.
You need an A500,A2000,A2500,A3000* (or later :-) with ECS SuperDenise
(the 8373 chip ) and OS 2.xx (version 36 or later). Otherwise
BorderBlank will simply flash the screen and exit.
What this program does.
Besides the new graphics modes, one of the new features of the ECS
SuperDenise is the ability to blank one screen's border to black
instead of using color 0 (the background color) as usual.
On some multiscan monitors using severe overscan the display looks
much better with a blanked border. If a 2320 or a 3000's Video Display
Enhancer is used, blanking the border to black will also eliminate the
silly flickering line at the top of the screen.
BorderBlank will alternatively activate and deactivate this option for
all Intuition screens. You run it the first time, the border goes off,
you run it a second time and the border comes again and so on.
You get the idea.
How this program is run.
BorderBlank can be run both from Workbench and both from the Shell.
If you are using a Shell, you will need to RUN or to '&' borderblank.
Usually you will simply drag the BorderBlank icon into the WBStartup
drawer and leave it there, to have a display with no border at
startup. Note that the BorderBlank icon must have the ToolType DONOWAIT
set to behave properly at startup (the icon included has it set).
Caveat.
BorderBlank is implemented by SetFuction()ing these intuition.library
functions: OpenWorkbench(); OpenScreen(); OpenScreenTagList(). If you
happen to have other programs patching the same functions, run BorderBlank
AFTER these programs. This is because when BorderBlank is called
every other time to restore the border, the function vectors are restored
too, so running it before those programs would cause them to have no
(or very bad..) effects.
That's it.
BorderBlank is freely redistrutable, but NOT public domain: this means
you can copy it as much as you like, but only a for a small fee and
you are not allowed to modify it in any way. You are also prohibited
to use BorderBlank for any kind of military purposes.
